Hello OOFers!
First, we wish to thank you all for being so great to work with during these past months of Covid-19 restrictions, rules and related stress!
Your willingness to follow the guidelines and be flexible have made a fun and safe summer and early fall possible. Thank you for supporting OOF and being part of the team!
As the weather is turning colder and the days are becoming shorter we must contend with the reality of moving all riding indoors.
Throughout the summer and fall we have been fortunate to have access to 5 separate and well spaced riding rings as well as the back fields and hacking trails. For the next 6-7 months we will have to condense everything we do into the one and a half indoor arenas.
This transition into winter is challenging in the best of times, but will be particularly challenging now – during a second wave of Covid-19.
As outlined previously, we have made the decision to run two shorter fall sessions rather than running straight through until Christmas as in other years.
For the new late fall session (beginning November 7th following a week off from October 31st to November 6th) we will be prioritizing lessons for our boarders and part boarders and then filling in with existing clients on a first come first served basis.
Unfortunately we do not anticipate being able to accommodate new riders for the Late Fall Session, but look forward to welcoming new riders in the spring. We ask that you try to be as flexible as possible as we do our best to draft a schedule that will accommodate as many of our riders as possible while still allowing our boarders space to ride and everyone space to socially distance. (Please email linda@oldorchardfarm.ca with the email heading “Fall Lesson Wait List” to be added to our wait list for new riders).
Some of our youngest riders tend not to continue through the winter, opting to start back in the warmer months of spring. If you or your child are not planning to continue through the late fall/early winter please let us know now by email so that we are not awaiting your registration.
For those planning to continue through the winter, registration for Fall 2 is now open so please register ASAP so that we can get the schedule finalized.
For the late fall session we may not be able to accommodate private or semi-private lessons after 3:00PM on weekdays.
